Genealogist or Geologist?

I am sure I am not the only one that has had to explain to someone the difference between genealogist and geologist. There are only a few letters difference but for some reason, people are always mixing the two words up. Both study something, but they are two completely different things.

A genealogist is a person who traces and studies lines of family descents. Learning about people and events in history.

A geologist is an expert in or a student of the study of the earth, the materials of which the planet is made of, the structure of those materials, and the processes acting upon them.

So as you can see they are very different things.

Until next time, take care!
